Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to common questions about using CivicStream.
What is CivicStream?
CivicStream is an AI-powered pre-submittal plan check. It scans architectural plan sets for common completeness, coordination, and code compliance issues so you can fix problems before submitting to your jurisdiction.
What file formats does CivicStream support?
CivicStream accepts PDF plan sets. After signing in, upload a multi-sheet PDF with your project details from the Submit a plan workflow.
How long does a plan review take?
Review time depends on plan set size and complexity. CivicStream processes your upload in the background and publishes a structured findings report to your dashboard when the review is complete.
What do the severity levels mean?
Findings are labeled critical, major, minor, or informational. Critical and major items usually need attention before submittal; minor and info items highlight improvements that can reduce correction cycles.
How do I contact the support team?
Use the contact form on this page or email support@civicstream.com. We help with technical issues and questions about interpreting review results.
Do I need an account to use CivicStream?
Yes. Create an account to upload plan sets, run reviews, and access reports from your dashboard.
